The company was founded in 1949 in Osnabrück, Germany by Karl Krumme. It was originally involved in the production of mattresses. To increase capacity, the company moved to its current location in Hagen am Teutoburger Wald in the 1960s. At the same time, the area of production was rounded out to include wooden bed frames. The company developed steadily into a pure manufacturer of sprung wooden slat bed frames and can now call upon decades of experience in this area.
